Every moment is filled with all the possibilities life has to
offer. One can find happiness, sorrow,
joy, sadness. One can find prosperity,
poverty, abundance and lack. It is said
that life is a canvass and we color it with acts of beauty, kindness,
generosity and self-expression. The
question we must answer is how do we express our authentic self?
Moment to moment we choose love or fear.
We decide if we are coloring our lives and our experiences with peace,
hatred, harmony or ill will. I have
learned we all have access to the same power.
Until we learn to better control our thoughts and stay in alignment with
God’s will, we will always create a life filled with a smorgasbord of
experiences. In spite of the
circumstances, we still have a choice.
In today’s supercharged world, we are overwhelmed by the number of books
filled with useful techniques to help us create a ‘positive attitude’. If you could only choose one, I would
recommend the colors gratitude and appreciation. Using these colors are enough to guarantee
you paint a pretty canvas. Staying focused
on the good that is continually present in our life requires us to always live
in the present moment, in the now while turning a deaf ear to the tales of
destruction beckoning for our attention.
If you are alive, this magnificently opulent universe has flooded your
life with wonders; every hour, become still enough to appreciate these
wonders.
Of course when all about us is going our way, appreciation and
thanksgiving effortlessly roll off our tongues.
It is when the blessings are wearing the colors of darkness, despair,
envy and hatred that we are blinded. It
is during these times that we have to persist in switching our attention to the
good. We have to stay focused on the
uplifting colors. Because life is not
one dimensional, we can always find something to celebrate. There is always some reason to praise,
rejoice. Each experience is filled with
something marvelous. Use your vision,
your focus to find it. You do create
your own life, so choose pretty colors.
In all that you may experience, praise, praise, praise.
Live the life you have imagined.
Dream Big.
