This calendar year, 2020, eased in convincing us to believe that this would be the best year ever. 2020 was touted as the super year, a great time to achieve goals, and filled with significant spiritual energy. It was not long before we were ordered to quarantine, which included separating from family and close friends, being left alone with our unstable beliefs, cluttered thoughts, and living spaces. Then the universal, ancestral energy answered the call of all who face discrimination, the disenfranchised and marginalized. 2020 was a numerological response for the year of "4". We shall be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, - 1 Corinthians 15:51-52. And we have certainly been changed.

The questions many are grappling with are how do I move forward? How do I achieve my goals during a time filled with fear of dying?

I am often asked what one thing can I do to move forward. The answer is to Surrender. Naturally, the next question usually is, how do I surrender? To many, this feels a lot like giving up.

Using spiritual principles makes it easier to move toward your dreams. Being in control of our lives has always been an illusion that we expected to last forever. The Awakening Code reminds us that Surrender isn't giving up…Surrender is letting go. It is not about giving up hard work, but instead, it's about actively choosing to let go of a false sense of control (Pause and Be Present). Because of our resistance to Surrendering, I now recommend Meditation, which is a practice that requires you to stop reaching and searching. It only requires you to stay present in the moment.

Meditation is an activity that will help you on this journey of keeping your mind "still from all confusion, and stayed on the Divine inner Presence, and letting every thought of discord slip away." (365 Science of Mind).

Meditation requires you to pause from your regular activity and quiet your mind. When you quiet your mind, you reconnect to your true Self.  During meditation, you close the door to the noise of the world and enter into the space where there are no limits.

During daily meditations, ask, "Who am I?"; "What do I want?"; What is my purpose?"; "What am I grateful for?"

Because there are many ways to meditate, I recommend you try several methods until you find the one that works best for you.

The Mayo Clinic has proven that meditation addresses stress, whether positive or negative." Meditation can also reduce the areas of anxiety, chronic pain, depression, heart disease, and high blood pressure.

As you meditate regularly, you will be pleasantly surprised how easily answers come to you.

Every experience and circumstance is a gift from the Universe, no matter how it is wrapped.

"It matters not how strait the gate, how charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul." (Henley)

Here's to living the life you've imagined.  Let the God times roll.

Dream Big!
