One of my favorite quotes is “There’s a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when circumstance permit. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results.

When it comes to religion many of us have a religious belief that functions more like an interest and not a commitment. When circumstances permit or are in our favor, we believe that with God all things are possible. When the circumstances appear to be challenging, we believe that some power other than God is causing havoc in our life. We then start to search for the perfect formula to success but all we find are complicated strategies. Everyone has one, including me. No matter what strategy you choose, every strategy you find starts with the same foundation, belief. To achieve success, you must build a solid foundation: What do you believe?

Endless possibilities are created through our visionary power. What we are able to see is always what we will get. When challenges appear in your life, do you see good or bad? Difficulties arise to give us new insights and to show us more ways to express love. Work on making your reaction to any uncertainty one of peace and thanksgiving. These opportunities did not come to destroy, they came to bring a blessing. Stay focused on the goal, not the steps to be taken. We do not see obstacles until we take our eyes off our goals. Our society's common belief in aging and that getting older is the forerunner of poor health is a mistake. Poor health as well as visible outer signs of aging is simply an out – picturing of our beliefs. If we believe with each birthday we will look older, then we will. If we allow negative thinking and attitudes to persist, we will have poor health. The human body is an amazing machine. The organs function without any conscious prompting by us. Both internal and external body parts shed the old cells and replaces them with new cells at regular intervals. Because the body is in a state of constant renewal, aging and illnesses are conditions and beliefs that we force into our consciousness. Financial prosperity is the next most misunderstood concept. Having money has nothing to do with money. Money substance is about what we believe. Holding onto worn-out emotions, worn-out relationships, feelings of envy, jealousy and hatred will block any flow of prosperity. Planting seeds of discontent and malice is sure to yield a garden of poverty and destitution. So here again, watch not only your thoughts but guard your words as if you were protecting the winning lottery ticket. Spirit is always in charge. By following the examples of our teachers, we will always remain connected to our source of power – God, the good omnipotent. By staying focused on the I AM, illness, poverty and malcontent will be replaced with good health, prosperity and joy. Establishing and maintaining spiritual integrity ensures a life filled with good things. Bid farewell to aging, poverty and unhappiness forever. Welcome health, wealth, youth and beauty. We are all God-powered, thereby, making all things possible. Challenges are gentle nudgings from the Divine to force us to new heights. The sure way to appreciate the valleys is to look down from the mountaintop. Life is about the journey and not the destination. If you are experiencing too much turmoil, you are on the wrong path. In the face of difficulties,meditation, quiet time and exercise are helpful in staying focused on the desired result and not on the perceived discomfort. Instead of giving into the urge to vent frustration and anger the next time your buttons are pushed, try affirming quietly, “Nothing can disturb the calm peace ofmy soul.” When you are calm, then proceed with the business at hand. Remember in the midst ofanger, the creative mind shuts down and the blood pressure elevates, releasing harmful toxinsinto the body. The voice of Infinite Kindness is a small, still, quiet voice. It can not be heard in the heat of anger, therefore, we must strive to maintain a peaceful disposition. We are cocreatingour experiences with Spirit and that should be our focus. All things, good or bad, are simply an out-picturing of our inner thoughts. You choose: success or failure.

Peace, Prosperity & Health

Infinite Kindness has given us an unalienable right to peace, prosperity and health. No one, no circumstance can diminish the fulfillment of these promises. Spirit has promised to give us the desires of our heart and to be equally present everywhere, in the midst of all things. The prerequisites are that we know without a doubt what we desire and understand faith is an action word. Before we can engage in war with the enemies in the outer, we must first conquer the enemies within. When you put a clear and definite image in the universe, you rarely have to fight for what you want. Our humanness always tempts us to begin with what we see. But before any outer action can result in permanent change, we must create a mental environment, a mindset, which will nurture and support our desires. Once this is completed, we will co-create a life that is both rewarding, challenging and full of enthusiasm. Without raising our own consciousness level, there can be no change.

Finding Your Way Back

Because we are not always able to discern the prompting of the Divine, life’s trials and
tribulations are inevitable. It is these experiences that force our soul to grow. Whenever I am
experiencing any discomfort (feelings of anger, jealously, illness or financial distress), I know
what to do. During these times, I concentrate on my blessings and clear my mind of any
unforgiving attitudes I may harbor. I think about the good things in my life and get busy looking
for the new gems awaiting my discovery. I remind myself that everyone is trying to find
their way back to Spirit and judging them is not my responsibility.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is a concept that is very difficult to grasp. It is more difficult to understand and consistently put into action than tithing.

When Peter asked Jesus how often we must forgive, He answered, “seventy times seven”. Seven represents the time it takes to complete something and seventy represent an endless number of times.

If you are experiencing blockages in your life, you have some forgiving to do. It is a proven fact unforgiveness causes unfavorable physiological activity in your body. It also guarantees you will recreate similar situations in your life. Spirit is so kind to us, It sends numerous opportunities to allow us to look at the problem at all possible angles. When we solve the problem within ourselves, we will no longer attract these situations. Remember, it is always us, it is never them. Harboring feelings of malcontent is the cement that will harden all unfavorable conditions in your life.

Once we stop labeling events as good or bad, we are able to successfully move through them. Forgiving allows you to release the true splendor of the universe. Your life will be blessed and your inner peace restored.

Make Every Month a Month to Love Yourself

Each month give yourself the wonderful gift of love and forgiveness. Make a valentine just for you. Send yourself a card that highlights all the wonderful things about you. And above all, do not forget to remind yourself that you are loved. Then and only then, start to look for expressions of love for the wonderful people in your life. There is an old saying, you can explore the universe looking for somebody who is more deserving of your love and affection than yourself, and you will not find that person anywhere. As you begin to learn to love yourself more, your entire life will change. You will find that seeming “mountains” will disappear, your health will improve and your dreams will start to come true.

In God’s eyes, all is good, so celebrate your oneness with this wonderful universe.

What you give will return to you pressed down, shaken together and running over. It is time to get rid of your small cup. Trade it in for a “large vessel”. You are going to need it for all the good stuff coming your way.

No Days Off

Making positive changes in your life is a serious endeavor, never to be taken lightly. Putting off until tomorrow what needs to be done today is not only self-defeating, it also complicates your life, making it harder and harder to experience permanent, positive change.

In this world of instant breakfast, miraculous cures, mail order brides, wonder drugs and overnight healing, we begin to believe that achieving success and changing our lives can be instantly accomplished with a set of rote prayers we rehearse daily. When we are unable to manifest change, we ask why. After all, we said our affirmations and prayers; we asked for help with our forgiveness issues; we listened to our “positive thinking tapes.” Nonetheless, we often neglect to finish the task at hand.

Identifying existing weaknesses is not enough. We must take positive steps to correct all errors. Changing your life requires honest confrontation with uncomfortable issues on a daily basis. Insisting upon remaining in the places we feel the most comfortable, makes any new growth impossible.

Infinite Kindness uses every circumstance imaginable to highlight our growth areas. Everything we experience has nothing to do with others; it is our lesson, our moment of truth.

Being dedicated to your true development will lead you into many uncharted waters. It is up to you. At every point during this journey, we make choices. We choose love or fear. Choosing love guarantees we emerge a new person. Shedding behavior patterns that are no longer for our highest good, will be the hardest, most difficult road to travel, but it will by far be the most rewarding.

If your most inner desire is to be as the Creator sees us, there are no days off. You must begin now to polish your most prized possession – YOU.

The Best is Yet to Come

Every life is filled with storms and celebrations, chaos and success, confusion and triumphs. During the celebrations, successes and triumphs we boldly take full responsibility for the outcome; but while in the midst of the storm, chaos and confusion we place the blame outside of ourselves. We wonder why “God has forsaken us?” Victim or Volunteer?
In John 5:1-9, a man had been faithfully, for 38 years, coming to the pool to be healed. Jesus’ question to the man was “Do you want to be healed”? The man’s response was “There is no one to help me.” Many of us model our lives after the man at the pool. When faced with adversity we sit around waiting, begging and crying for someone to help us. We expertly craft excuses for why we are not healed. We have 100 bible verses at our desk, but we do not believe any of them. Many have become addicted to being sad, sick and tired. We forget that we decide our response to everything that occurs in our lives. It is our response that determines the outcome. Because the Universe if benevolent, attitudes of “woe is me” only draw to you more “woe is me” circumstances. You must get sick and tired of being sick and tired.
In order to experience your long awaited healing so that you can live your best lives now, you must take responsibility for all of our actions. No one is a victim; we are all volunteers. If your life is filled with a continuous pattern of similar crisis, this is a sign that you have decided to declare yourself a victim. It is this identification that will certainly guarantee that you will have many more “victim” experiences.
Our reaction to events will also point out where we have placed our faith. If we believe that Spirit is the beginning and end of everything, we must believe completely that Spirit will answer our call, supply our needs and comfort our soul. We are counseled in Acts 3:1-26, that it is our Faith (Peter) that does the healing.
You can start to take responsibility for your life by asking yourself “what are my reoccurring crisis and dramas?” “What has become clear to me”? Each experience is your teacher, it came to show you what needs to be healed. Once you have started thinking about and answering these questions, record your responses in a journal. Note any similarities. Devise a plan to make the changes your dramas are urging you to make.
Learning to find peace while in the midst of a crisis is the only sure way to calm the storm. While in the crisis, take some time to become still, acknowledge your need and visualize its fulfillment. Follow the guidance you receive. This will shorten the duration of the crisis, keep you positively focused and make certain your Faith is working to manifest the desired outcome.

Life is Perfect

The process of life is a perfect vehicle of growth designed and created by the Divine Presence. Because life is perfect, we are doing exactly what we should be doing in order to feed our soul and further our spiritual journey. There are no mistakes. It is our perception that needs to be adjusted. We must release all perceived mistakes. Forgive and love yourself, and begin to focus on the perfection of God’s life, your life.

Practice forgiving and loving yourself daily. Look into the mirror, realizing that you are God’s beloved and say to yourself “God loves you, I love you and all is well.” In all circumstances, concentrate on all things, excellent, commendable, honorable, and pure; give thanks, for God is in the midst of all you feel and experience. During the course of our human path, we will not always live up to the expectations or remain within the boundaries and limitations we have defined for our lives. These seeming failures are always filled with bursts of joy. Life does not always go according to our plan because we are not the master planner. Forgive these detours; love yourself by vowing to judge your actions with right judgment – God’s judgment.

Shattered Assumptions

At the very essence of our human existence is a belief system that serves as a catalyst for the actions which form our life. These beliefs and assumptions mold our interactions with friends, coworkers, lovers, family members, etc. We assume certain facts will always remain true.

Because life is full of abrupt twists and turns, the assumptions, which form our belief systems, are often shattered. This causes intense emotional pain that consumes every atom and molecule in our body leaving us writhing in despair, with no where to turn for comfort. We then start to questions our very existence. Every action and decision in our past is suspect. The value of our accomplishments is diminished while our pain intensifies our failures. Finally, in agony, we cry out “If there is a God, why have You forsaken me?” It is at this point, the healing process can begin.

True, permanent healing is not easy, but it is necessary if we are to experience the wonders of the universe. Rest assured, after this crisis has been dealt with and you have healed, these will be other turning points and all of them will seem to rock the calm peace of your soul.

These growth periods are always meant to teach us to be more loving, to “love the harshest of enemies and the vilest of demons.” They are there to teach us to free ourselves from earthly appearances, human conditions, and graven images and to focus solely on the pure essence of life – love.

Anyone who has spent their days in the flow of life, knows to live your faith and convictions in the more difficult thing to do. A course in Miracle emphasizes that the ego’s constant battle is to convince us we are separate from the power that created us. It is this belief in being separate that causes us to experience shattered assumptions. By focusing on our oneness with Spirit, using “righteous judgment,” a deeper awareness of the Divine will begin to unfold. The willingness to start depending on Spirit is paramount to our healing.

LOVE YOURSELF

Love Yourself

All our lives, we are told to “Love your neighbors as yourself,” and your life is not complete unless you have a companion. Our search for love always starts with someone else as the benefactor. We believe that loving our neighbors more than we love ourselves is the godly noble thing to do, and having a companion is the only way to feel complete. We give the best of ourselves to others, rarely leaving anything for ourselves. American communities are plagued with symbols of how we love each others, i.e., sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, drug abuse, etc.

Because we are only able to treat others the way we treat ourselves, charity must begin at home. By regularly scheduling quiet time for ourselves to visit with our thoughts and feelings, are we able to clear up unresolved issues we have within. Unraveling our own issues allows us to be able to give our full support to our significant other and to properly love, guide and discipline our children.

Only by loving ourselves first are we able to honor the commandment “Love thy Neighbor as Thyself.”

Easier Than You Think

Life is filled with change and uncertainty. The media has become a double-edged sword. We are given information to maneuver through the upcoming days while being convinced there is a shortage of everything we need for a good life.

Our society is filled with examples of opposites. We are bombarded with the lifestyles of the “rich and famous” and made to feel guilty our names do not appear on any of the Forbes List. We are rocked to sleep by the problems of the disenfranchised and reminded this could happen to us at any moment.

Fortunately, we decide the state of our lives. If you do not like the landscape of your life, changing is easier than you believe. Nothing is impossible. It does not take a lifetime to change a life. It takes a firm commitment.

The process to change your life is simple. It requires changes in your vision, “what you see” and your words, “what you say.”

Break your addiction to negatives by finding something to be grateful for. In a short period a time, you will have more for which to be thankful.

Jump Start Your Life

We forget that our conversations, thoughts, imagination and feelings serve as fuel to spark our experiences. Joy, inner peace and tranquility are not dependent upon outer conditions; we have the power in any moment to change our lives. No matter where we find ourselves, our mind, thoughts and imagination are the keys to resurrecting our life.

Experiences occur in our lives based upon our beliefs; we are living what we believe and not what we pray for. This is an indication that we have allowed our imaginations to become limited.

The mind is the source of creativity; choose thoughts consistent with your dreams and use your imagination to “see yourself” living your dreams. In spite of any circumstance, choose positive self-talk; choose to create positive, uplifting mental images.

To improve the quality of your demonstrations, strive to live in the moment. We give more power and energy to worldly concerns than we do to the power of our thoughts. In order to experience your overcoming so you can live your best life now, take responsibility for all your actions. No one is a victim; we are all volunteers.
